People of Northern Ireland

For any of you who actually care, I am Luc de Vandamie, and I am running as a People’s Communist Party nominee for the Congress of the eUK.

I would like to take this opportunity to explain to you all, in a short manifesto, what I plan to try to achieve if elected.

1. Vote in Congressional debates in a way that is best for you, the people. Note
    that I am entirely willing to accept public input as to how I vote. I want to hear
    from YOU, the people of Northern Ireland.

2. Attempt to help the expansion of the commune system that the PCP has in
   effect at this time.

3. To help lower the prices of goods that are essential, as much is reasonably 
    possible especially for the benefit of the new players amongst us.

4. In this endeavour to help the newer players, I intend to fully support the
   use of a buddy system. As the PCP Constitution states, we are only as strong
   as the weakest citizen

5. Finally, to try as much as possible to benefit the people of the region of
   Northern Ireland, but to do that, you must help me, point me towards points
  that you feel need addressing, and I promise to do everything in my power to
  assist with improvements.

Running for Congress in Northern Ireland - News and Politics

Good morning Northern Ireland

At this time, it is 0750 Erepublik time, and it is the day before your congressional candidates are locked in and finally selected.

I post this blog/campaign notice, in an attempt to get a People’s Representative, in this case myself, elected into the eUK’s congress.

I will not lie to you, I do enter this congressional bid on my own behalf, but overarching this is my concern that the people have their voices heard.

The PCP, from its constitution is solidly for the people, and as a person of the lower class in both real life, and the Erepublik world, I support their values wholeheartedly.

This proclamation of being a lower class citizen is not supposed to sway you, merely provide you with a backdrop to know me by, to show you, that I indeed have reason to support the party.

If elected to the Congress, I vow to uphold the principles of the PCP, from the 1st article to the last, staunchly and faithfully. This promise, may indeed be one that you are used to reading, but I feel that I must point it out anyway. After all, a potential congressman who does not believe in the articles of his own party’s constitution should not put himself into the ballot box.

As a member of a party based on the ideas of the worker’s rights and the worker’s wellbeing, I ask you to consider voting me into the Congress, where I may be able to make a difference to how the worker is represented and treated. I am only one man, but I can try my damndest to make a change that is in line with party thinking and benefits in particular the worker, but also all other members of the eUK.

There is not much else I can say, except this: Thank you to the members of Northern Ireland who take the time to read this, and for those of you, if any, who vote for me in the coming election.
